**Green Tsavorite Garnet is one of the gem world’s most beautiful stones. It was discovered by the British Gemoligist Campbell.R.Bridges in the North Eastern part of Tanzania in the late sixties. The stone was not well known to the general public until 1974 when Tiffany & Co. began a promotional effort in the USA. Tsavorites name is derived from the Tsavo National Park. It was Henry Platt, at the time the president of Tiffany’s that chose the name.

Unlike many gems in today’s market Tsavorite is not treated to en-hance its beauty.
